    A fairly large and striking bound Pounamu hei Matau ( fish hook ) that has been carved from a beautiful piece of highly translucent Inanga ( white bait) pale green NZ nephrite jade.

     

    The Matau is said to bring abundance , safe travel over open water and good luck on fishing trips.
